I've been making "Build A Corgi" figurines for a while.  How do you build a Corgi?  Start with a basic pose: 

Then build from there!  Add a platform, put grass on it, add a ruffled skirt or a bowtie.  How about sunglasses?  You are only limited by your imagination!
